People love to hate 'em, but everyone has a favorite. What's yours? And have you seen the original?

My favourite remake is Oceans Eleven although it does differ in many ways to the original. The original featured the Rat Pack such as Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr. and Frank Sinatra but unfortunately the film came across more as a vehicle to showcase their talents and due to this the storyline was no brilliant. Where as the remake although again is full of big names does have a slightly better storyline although at times I feel that it relies on big star names to carry the movie.

It's been a long time since I've seen the original. I was mainly interested in it just to see the Rat Pack, so in that sense I agree with you that that's probably the biggest draw. The Manchurian Candidate is another Frank Sinatra movie that has been remade. The remake was good, I thought, but the original is still better, I think.

Does Starsky and Hutch count? I really liked that movie, and it was fun to see a cameo appearance of the original Starsky and Hutch in the movie. Very well done.

I think that counts. In fact, there's a whole bunch of TV shows that have become movies: Miami Vice, Brady Bunch, Serenity, Charlie's Angels, Twilight Zone, Mission Impossible, The Fugitive, The Untouchables......I've seen a few of them, though not Starsky and Hutch. I would have to say my absolute favorite, though, hands down, no question about it, is The Transformers.

Definitely Charlie and The Chocolate Factory is my favourite remake! I much prefer the remake to the original, I think it's because of Johnny Depp, he is a wonderful actor and I think he made the film, it's a great family film and I think because I saw the remake and was too young to the see the original on the big silver screen I found the second one far more appealing. They haven't changed the story and obviously it has the same plot but they have worked wonders with it and I have even got it in my dvd collection.

Yours,Mine, and Ours is one of my favorite movies and I enjoyed the remake of it although I find that the original one with Lucille Ball is still my favorite. I know that it would be hard to replace her acting talent in any movie but I think that they done a decent job on the new one. I love it!!

The Ring. I liked it a lot more than Japanese version. But people say you'll usually like more the one that you've seen first and I've seen American version first. Also famous The Fly was also a remake.
