How often do you use Wikipedia?

Hi everyone, I have a constant craving to learn new things and research topics that I am less familiar with. Wikipedia is the place where I go to most often in search of information - I find that everything I look for can be found there and in great detail. I was wondering if you do the same and if not, what website do you use the most to find information you're looking for? Thanks for sharing.

please try other sites.wiki is not good because they have the editing features that allows anybody to edit the info being posted there. there are some people out there who will take advantage of it and post wrong inquiries.in the end the researchers are the victims.i don't recommend the site to my students.

I really like going on Wiki just to get general information on stuff, I don't necessarily use it as sources for my research papers (not that that's allowed anyway, lol). I like it, because despite contrary belief, it's actually HIGHLY-regulated and rarely gives out false information. It's pretty much the best online information site, ever, especially if you just want some quick no-BS background information.

I usually use wiki about once a week. I prefer to use it on a subject I know something about. With the general public being able to change the content, I'm not sure how trustworthy the info is. If it's an important project, I verify the wiki info with another reference site.

I used Wikipedia when I was studying and after I graduated college, I don't think that I used Wikipedia after that. I know my son is using Wikipedia and taught him how to go to Wikipedia so he can do research everytime that he needs. My son loves researching specially if its about Science like dinosaurs, outer space, and etc.

I use wikipedia sometimes for background or general knowledge, but unfortunately I am not so sure how much its content is always trustworthy. I have seen verions of wikipedia in languages, other than English and honestly I was not positively impressed, actually I was utterly shocked by the mistakes in the text

I use Wikipedia to help get a broad perspective on a topic I might be researching. When I have to write a paper, I will usually begin my research at Wikipedia because the site give broad details about almost any subject. However, you must be careful when using the information. Wiki-info is usually correct but you never know because anyone can add input. I will usually use information at Wikipedia to learn what directions to take. For example, if I am researching steroids, I will use wikipedia to brief myself on what information is available about steroids. Then I will use whatever information I find and try to find similar information from a more credible source.

I always use wikipedia as knowledge search engine. In One day I usualy Search anything there round 3 or 4 times, depends on what occasion. I use wikipedia to search Official Anime title, how many chapters and when it starts on TV. I Also searching for Major band info, when is the next album will release, what did they do, what happen with 'em. Or to search another source from below of the page. I love Wikipedia
