Hello mylotters! I have a question for all of you. I was wondering how many of you actually do rebates. I mean like when you buy a product and fill out some sort of form or card, mail it away and wait for some sort of reimbursement. Maybe a cheque, or Gift Card or something along those lines. So do you do Rebates? or No?

Yes, I do. Every single time I have the opportunity to do so. It takes usually around 6 weeks to get the credit back, but hey - it is worth! I love most when they give you a gift card - it's a great feeling. Of course getting the cheque it's also great, but it goes into the bank and it's used for all kind of bills. A gift card gives you another feeling.Like more freedom. I know that's the same money, the money you already spent and waited so long to receive them back. The gift card it's more like an illusion, but still...that feeling...you have a gift card to spend...

If a rebate is available I'll definitely do it! If it were for less than a dollar, I probably would not. I don't think I've ever run into a rebate that small though. I think rebates are totally worth it. They help you get a better deal on a product. I am noticing though that rebates aren't available as much now as they use to be.

I usually have every intention of sending in the rebate forms, but usually time gets away from me and I forget. I think I usually only follow through when it's a pretty substantial amount, not just $1.00 or $2.00.
