Hello! I have been trying to set up a site for the past few months that will allow users to create an account so they can add articles to the site. I understand I need a content management program (I assume), but I'm not sure which program to go with. I have used Joomla in the past and ended up getting so frustrated with all of the steps required just to get the site up and going, I gave up. Is there an easier option? A way to start a site like this without a huge investment of time and money? How would you go about setting a site like this up? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, There's probably a few different ways you could go. I'd either use something like a wordpress blog (people can register and post articles for themselves) or even something like a forum (easy to set up etc) a lot will depend on whether you are willing to pay for hosting - probably best in the long run as it gives you control. Or, if you have your own hosting - there's plenty of free (or paid) article site scripts you could download and use. That way you just set it up and people register to submit their articles etc.
