Sorry to hear that about your daughter. With my last three children I would get some skin problems that would last for a year. My last one has left, but it's still underlying. Five doctors do not know what it is but they say it's eczema. Either way, it seemed as if nothing but time cleared it up. However, I bought some Hydrocortisone creame from the dollar store and that helps keep new outbreaks at bay. *Pleiades

If you are using hydrocortisone, be aware , my doctor suggest using it for 7 days at a time as it thins out the skin. read or ask the chemist for best use. another suggestion is to use Hydromol oilment, its waxy if you rub a bit into your hands you can use it as substitute for soap and it contains no chemicals and for night use because it stays greasy it helps as a moisturiser also use good cotton gloves for night use.

I have eczema, it used to be very very bad when I was little, but as I have gotten older I only get it from time to time. I have a cortizone (sp?) cream from the doctor for when it flairs up. Other things I do to keep it at bay is to drink ALOT of water. I also drink green tea or oolong tea, the antioxidants help with it. Going out into the sun and moisturizing with a regular lotion everyday also has helped. You should find out if your daughter has any sensitivties to food. When I was younger a main trigger for my eczema was diary products, white flour, and sugar.
