Colors on your mylot profile!

Hi Sanu, color combination at the profile page is as mysterious as the their algorithm is. It was all default so long for I failed miserably to edit my profile and seeing all Topsy-turvy I reset to the default lay out. Yesterday again tried and now this is with a black boarder and the rest is the same. Yes, I too have observed that you can not read what is their for all wring is sandwiched between this and that color.

I use colours on my profile. Purple is my favourite colour and I have chosen a purple background, the text is written in blue and in yellow. When I first joined MyLot I was excited to discover the differrent colours and I was determined to create a cool profile in my favourite colours. I chose a purple background and silly as I was I thought that purple text would look great, too. So I made everything purple, and that was a terrific idea except from the fact that it was completely impossible to read the words! I didn't think about that I just left it the way it was, but after a while I started to wonder why I didn't have a page called interest rankings when everyone else did. I couldn't help laughing at myself when I discovered that my interest rankings and the other details had been there all along, it was just impossible to read it, because it was purple text on a purple background!

I don't use any colors on my mylot profile sanuanu. I'm rather lazy to do such tedious work. I'm always happy with the default setting with the original simple two colors. I prefer to see the conspicuous black words on the while background easily I like to read all those words or sentences clearly and easily from the profile I have visited. If I find difficulty to read the blurred sentences or contents because of the inappropriate colors matched I will then leave the profile without any hesitation. I don't bother if there is any interesting topic there. Happy posting and have a nice day.

i use a black/red combo,because it seems to me to be the best visible. i saw one on here that was yellow and pink..and oh my god,was it unreadable. it hurt my eyes to look at it.

Hi there sanu! Yellow is my profile colour. Yellow like the sunshine Yellow like my face too I agree with you that some profiles are too complicated making them difficult to read. Some are very heavily loaded too making them difficult for users who have a slow connection. If there is too much stuff many will not be able to view it. Hope all is well with you sanu

i just use the default color,because i haven't master the panel in the website. or in other meaning,the level of my english is not good to modify the panel. not to be worst~ i need to make more progress.

I also don't like the striking colors of some members on their profiles as I have a hard time reading everything on it. I don't know how to change the colors and I would still prefer the default profile settings here on myLot. Its simple and easy to read everything on it.

Yes, I use colors on my mylot profile. However, I used a Myspace layout rather than the color combination that mylot offers us as I wanted my profile to not only look pretty, but stand out as well.

i have never added a color to my profile or anything else. i don't experiment either. mine is just like it was when i first started. i have never even added an avatar, hope your weekend is going well.

Well I have a little purple there in my profile, feel free to take a look and let me know how you feel about the look and feel of my profile, I have really not done much with it in awhile, I am working my discussions and trying to respond to others that respond to me. Hi sanuanu, I have just stuck with the default colours so far on my profile. I might mess around with it some time and jazz it up a bit. I know what you mean some profiles can be hard to read with dark colours on them but some of the profiles sure do look nice

Hi sanadoodoo...To tell you the truth, I had to go look and see if I had any colours because I couldnt remember.. I see I have a light green border, but thats all. Probably because I dont know how to do anything else... I wanted to put some referral links like other people have but I dont even Know how to do that!...What a dumb dumb eh!

I don't have color in my profile not because i don't like it but i am just lazy maybe to apply it perfectly after few times of trying.My favorite colors are yellow, green and red so maybe if i am the mood to try it again then i would surely put color these colors.

Good day, sanuanu. You are right, many of us prefer to use dark colors. I use black background and the color of the text was green and blue, seems that it was glowing in the dark so it is readable. It also looks cool. The only thing that was not changed to my profile was my avatar. It was still the default one. This is my response, enjoy posting..=)

I haven't fooled with mine, but I do wonder if those that do ever return to heir profiles and take a second look. surely they could see the rest of us can't read it the way they have presented it.

I use black on the background, but I don't mess up with the text and the inside of the sortie where the content is text (if the content is simply an image then there's no problem). I also find it annoying when people use non-contrasting colors on their text sorties because it makes it very hard to read. Thanks for the response on my discussion!

I like customizing my profiles on websites instead of using the default layout, even if it's doubtful that many people would even visit my profile lol. My color scheme is gray and pink. I try not to make the profile hard on the eyes because it's annoying when you go to a page and it's impossible to read or blinding lol.

I simply use the white profile color. It is good enough for me. I do use other color profies on other websites. such as a dark profile on one, but everthing will show up and be clerly read.

yeh some profiles are really hard to read. They use really bright writing or dark backgrounds. Mine is the default one though. I think you need to pick good colours so people can read things well.

well, i am using light ones. you can find my profile a bit bluish and flesh. theres also green, the default color. && i think it would be best that you check it out. :)
