Are you kidding? The maths gene is completely missing in my family, my mind turns blank when attempting to help my primary school children with simple multiplications. I say ' simple' because I know they should be. Give me a language to learn any day and the left part of my brain turns on. Few people are equally good at both, I truly believe it has to do a genetic predisposition. ( or maybe that's my excuse !)

True, as I am not very good at maths either. But for some weird reason, I like maths more!

I think I am better with Mathematics than English. I am currently working in a Contact Center in the Philippines handling US customers, but I hardly analyze the agents' communication at a level of technical English. I may be able to pinpoint grammatical errors or areas of improvement, but I will not be able to technically say what specific rule is violated. I think since I read books, I normally play it by ear. Good day!

Math comes easy for me, and I do really well with mathematical problems. I don't really like math all that well, though. English comes harder for me, but I enjoy it a lot more. Perhaps I enjoy it more because I have to work harder at it, so I am prouder of my accomplishments in it.

I definitely lean towards the Math side. I always did great in my Math classes throughout school, and liked it so much I decided I wanted to be a Math teacher. I'm currently half way through my degree now :)

When I was in HS I love both of them. Now that I'm in college I don't know if I still love math. Because there are topics in math that I'm not interested to learn hehehe

Defintely Math! :) I've always loved Math, it's always been a favorite. You can explore so much and it's not like you have to mug up anything except the numbers 0-9, then everything else is just as you understand, even if it goes up to Statistics, Calculus or whatever, you can even understand the formulas and don't have to cram it up! Also, another advantage is that Math is a language in itself, which is spoken by EACH AND EVERY person :) Example: Whatever country you are in, everyone understands the language of money. What is money but numbers? *starts stamping Differential Equations all over mylot and runs away* :O

Both of the programs are quite important Ilike them both. Math calls for the ability of analising a question, while English call foe the ability of comprehension. I maybe like Maths better. But I hope you'll like both. Happy today

Math has always been my strong subject and something that I enjoy, as strange as it seems. I love to read, and I am also a very capable speller, but English was definitely not my favorite subject when I was in school. So far, it seems as if my son is going to follow in my footsteps. Math seems to come very easy for him also. We can't figure out my daughter's strong interests yet, but she's only four, so we have a while on it.

Well, Trensue, I can say that I am one of those few who enjoy both. Problem solving in Math is easy, especially those word problems, like age problems, distance problems, rate problems, etc, if you have a good grasp of the English language. Usually they use the words "twice more than half his age" or "four years more than his age ten years from now" which of course you need to translate to a mathematical equation. A thorough understanding of the English languange would definitely give you an advantage. English has been easy for me because I love to read, watch, and observe. If you are exposed enough to the English language in your lifetime, you will learn more than those textbooks can tell you. You can learn meaning of words through context, and not by looking for it on the dictionary. So I guess it is English and Math for me.

English. Any day. I would never go close to Maths unless it's simple plain Algebra. I hate Calculus, although I have learned it the hard way. I like the English Language and I love to write. So it all adds up to satisfy my work and my likes. bourne
