Why all the focus on what Obama gave The Queen or Gordon Brown at the G20 sumit

or his wife touching The Queen when the real story/thing to be outraged about is the treatment of G20 protesters by London police - including the death of a bystander (not caused by protesters despite smears)

When this story was originally in the news, I wondered about the same thing. Why do they always focus on these dumb and superficial issues in cases like that, instead of focusing on the real issues? Politicians need to get their damn prioreties straight!!!
