Well in Windows you can either go to search via the start menu or by pressing F3. BUT as well all know Microsoft gave Windows it's own mind and sometimes it will delete files for you because it believes they are harmful. Like when you receive zip files on MSN they will sometimes just be deleted. Sigh. But I've never had it happen for regular downloads so maybe you just lost it ._. F3 it :)

I know with a Windows computer you can usually just go to the start menu and SEARCH for the file name (if you know it - most likely the song name). Sometimes files you download from certain places get thrown into small folders, which are in other folders, and so on. So, searching for the name really helps - and you can usually go to "properties" to see where it's located to move it or delete it (or do whatever you wanted to do with it!) Good luck & I Hope this helps!

There are several possibilities: 1. Your downloaded file might have been a hidden file (or you changed its status to hidden): For this, go to Tools Folder Options View and select "Show Hidden Files and Folders" and then look at the location you saved it or else, Search with Windows Search. 2. You accidently moved the file to some other location: For this, perform a search in Windows Search. 3. You deleted the file accidently: The simple way for this is to re-download the file. Check in the Recycle bin, may be you get lucky. 4. Some virus activity: In this case, use an Anti-Virus software. If you are lucky, you may get your file if the virus is removed. At least, other files will be safe now.
