What do you know about "torrent" and "download manager". Which do you prefer to download faster and what software do you use?

well, i rarely download torrent file. why actually they make a torrent file? is it to make the original file become smaller size? and i always found that torrent file content prohibited content

Torrents aren't smaller: they're key information on how to find peers/seeds with the same file. Instead of everyone downloading from one central server, bits of the file are downloaded from loads of different sources - thus making it quicker, supposedly! Try http://www.legaltorrents.com/ if you want legal stuff. Or http://www.ghacks.net/2007/03/04/10-free-and-legal-torrent-sites/ for a list of 10 sites offering legal content.

I use Orbit,same with download manager,Orbit is Opensource basicly

As far as i know torrent works only when there are enough number of seeds.If there are many then it works much better than any other download.I prefer to download from normal sites only becuase it just depends on the severs of the site.

Hello there... I know that depends on number of seeds. But can I Uhm... do you know how to use torrent for better? Coz I usualy found something good in torrent file but i cant download it.

I usually use a download software developed by Chinese, named "xunlei". You can call it "thunder" in English. It can download files by torrents. It also can download files by other traditional means, like wedsites download and ftp download. Its download speed is pretty fast. I often use it to download some movies and tv series.
