...to the topic starter after you have responded to his/her discussion which you feel like it's one of your best and you just can't wait for him/her to read it and comment back? You know, the feeling of excitement and anticipation. Not really aiming for the best response award but more like knowing what someone has to say about your response.

I have to agree, I hadn't thought of it that way before myself, well atleast the whole private message thing. I have been excited to see a person's response to me. Which means, I really should go comment on some of my discussions etc. Well I greatly appreciate your discussion.

Sometimes discussions get lost against the overwhelming number of new discussions coming in so sometimes i feel like i have to remind him/her like "hey, you still have an interesting discussion that needs your attention! Kindly check it out!".

Yes, a lot of people get caught up in the slew of commenting and responding, myself included, to mind my own discussions!

No, I don't do that. Should I do that? will it be good? i mean now I feel that I need someone's reaction on one of my discussions but I am afraid that my request would be a good thing to her or not because most probably that person gets a notification for my discussion so, I think it would not be a good idea. So, my answer is no!

If indeed he or she included you on his or her notify list.

Yea of course but even if they have not opted for notification still, I will not choose to PM because my experience wasn't that good with it!

Shiver me timbers! Thanks for the BR on your pirate discussion. I tried to put an eye patch on Tukay to take a picture, but she went and hid on me. Yes I do sometime want to send a private message. Never can make up my mind if it should be a playful slap or a wake up call. It's depressing to think up a funny or cute response and then not know if it was ever read or not. You are excellent about replying, so I'll just have to think up another reason to send you a private message...

The problem is, do you really own an eye patch? lol! Well, you may ask for my home address in private just in case you have decided to FedEx me the good stuffs. lol!

Gotcha! I actually DO have an eye patch. It's left over from an old Halloween costume, and it's only plastic. But it's still a patch, right? Somebody needs to invent tastivision pictures. Then I can email you pictures of the 'good stuff' for your enjoyment...lol.

Feel? Yeah! I am a very "kulit" person and you know it but I am practicing patience and I know it is a virtue so I wait for the time when the person has given a response. Besides, I guess I have ego and pride too and I don't want the other person to get the impression that I am pushy and I want to get noticed, or whatever. Hey hey hey, can I PM you now? To know if you liked my response?????

No nothing like that but I have PMed quite a few times to some friends over some comments or if I wanted to know/tell something more than in my response. Sometimes you know, people start up personal discussions and if I happen to know something of their family (which they are not sharing publicly)I PM them to convey something chk up on the other members. I have also PMed to discuss more on some of my personal problems (seeking expert opinion, really)as I felt more comfortable that way. And the best thing is that they have always replied back.

Hello modstar, Oh, I don't have that feeling when I responded to others discussions! But when ever I started a new discussion, I just can't wait for the response and always check on it every few minutes. But alas, it takes me quite long sometimes to leave a comment!

Haha.. That's pretty long question right there! Anyway, I found someone attractive on myLot, but never got really thought of sending him a message and stuff. Maybe that's something I won't do, unless I know the person well.. But yea for other things apart from myLot, I think I have sent a message to someone... Ya know to know him and stuff.. Something like first move.. It ain't bad, is it?

I have felt like sending a private message before although I have not done it as yet. The reason for wanting to send the message is not usually because I would like my response read as soon as possible but because I want to take the discussion further or I want to know how the MyLotter concerned is going after a while. There was one young lady who had relationship problems, found out she was pregnant and was unsure what to do; she has not been active for a while and I am tempted to PM her to see how things are going. I have felt impatient for feedback before but I have refrained from messaging in case I come across annoying.

That's one of the reasons why i want to pm a myLotter. There was this myLotter who became my friend while i was still new here in myLot. She told me that's she'll be on vacation but never heard of her anymore.

Well as for me I havent tried that feeling yet I try my best to respond to some discussions and dont expect them to reply on it but I always feel shocked and dont expect if someone give me best reply specially if there are lots of responses on their discussions then he or she got to choose you as best response. Well it would really be great though if I responded on something that I really love then I will get reply on it.

well, do we? yes we always do think that way specially if you think that you are doing your best to respond ont heir discussions and when you think that its good you cant wait for their comments from it. the anticipation is then killing you but still on the long run it is still unnoticed. thanks friend jhelai
