Have you ever had an idea turn into a major PITA?

I am working on some new coupon books for myself and what sounded like a great idea in my head has fast turned into a PITA. I will love it when it is done but the getting there is giving me fits. I want to eventually sell these on etsy but I got to get them looking better before I do that. Have you ever had a brilliant idea turn into a PITA?

Hummmm, have I ever had an idea the "DIDN'T" turn into a I prefer PITB (butt)? Agree with what was said above I think creative people can and often are their own worst enemies. Can't keep a creative person down though we just keep coming up with more 'stuff'..

I know what you mean. I am still racking my brain to come up with an easier method of doing this hairbrained idea of mine. I like the concept it just needs tweaking.

The coupon books are to sort your coupons in and keep your coupons organized. LOL pain meds can do that to a persons mind. I am taking each photo sheet in the photo albums and making it into two pockets for holding the coupons. This is so that you can see each coupon. But here is the kicker I am not wanting to seperate the page in two halves just the clear part and then resealing the top clear part to make it a seperate pocket (hows that for messing with your mind?). Anyway I got one book done but this is going to be a "down the road" type item for my shop. if you get a chance to look at my profile to see my new items on etsy.

Would offer some help but I'm still a bit confused as to what your doing lol just know you and it's got to be creative :) If people purchase the coupon books then do they get discounts on your other products? Sorry, on pain meds big time and their not working on anything but messing with my head.

Coupon books? What type? Most of my great ideas are PITA. Must be why I never follow thru on them. Just don't have the patience required to work out the details.

Lets just say that I am taking those cheap small photo albums and modifying them into coupon books lol. I have one finished. Before I can even begin to think about selling these I am going to have to do some major modifying to make them look nicer and make the process easier.

Yeah. I downloaded some really cool software the other night (fractal generaton software) that I wanted to play around with, and the site is driving me nuts. I can't figure out how to save what I've done, and i've created some really awsome stuff with it, but it just won't save!!!!

I hate that, because normally when something starts getting fiddly and difficult I've already invested lots of time in it and don't want to abandon the project. Coupon books sounds like a great idea though if you can get it to work.

A few too many times actually. I have spent too much money on ideas that I thought would really pan out and then I get them done and they are not what I thought or not good enough in my mind. I have tried candles, soaps and many others not to sell but just for something for me to do and then I get so far with them and am not happy or they don't turn out so I just give up on them...I wish i was more creative and crafty.

I have given up on things before and then come back to them later and was much better at them the second, third or fourth go around. Sometimes it is simply timing.

I agree. Timing is a big part. It's like looking at something you've written and "something" just isn't quite right. Sometimes it just takes a bit of time AWAY from the project to figure out your "aHA!" moment...
