I have one of my favourite site to recommend to you. It is sourceforge. You can download all the open source applications and games at there. Just seach what you want. They have to use subdomain to identified a software. You can save the url if you like it or you can share it with anyone. Good luck and have a nice day. Happy mylotting.

i am a regular at sourceforge, it's pretty good. Anything that has a debian executable will possibly run on ubuntu. Ubuntu's site has great terminal threads, but you always need an extra editor or peer application. That's for the advice!

Maybe the best place for you and many of us is softpedia.com. It caters for Windows, Linux, and Mac. Each section is divided into categories. There are currently 24 main categories under Linux, including srtistic software, database, documentation, education, science and engineering, security, utilities. They have reviews including on Ubuntu tweaks. all the best, rosdimy

That sounds fantastic and I will most definitely check that one out, I love ubuntu it's been a lifesaver! I can't believe opensource has so much to offer. I can plug and play any device and it works without extra software! softpedia will be added to my bookmarks!
