I am sooooooo excited to see and am planning on being there opening night. I have seen a few of the trailers and I think the actors they picked are good choices but will have to see the movie and then judge for sure. It looks very exciting. I don't think Gene Roddenberry ever anticipated this much success with his idea. Thank you Gene!!!!

I couldn't believe when I saw Spock how much he looked like the original Spock! So that made me super excited. We'll have to see if they can grasp the original characters enough to be real enough for the super fans to believe. Like I said before, I hope it brings a new era of fans to Star Trek because Star Trek represents a lot of good values and hope for humanity, AND plus they are just great shows and movies with great characters! And definitely YES THANK YOU GENE!

IM EXCITED! And quite honestly it makes me more excited to actually see discussions about it! My boyfriend did give me the recap, that its before Captain Picard was in charge, ok, i can handle that. A new set of actors, bummer, but Im ok with that. I grew up watching Star Trek and I guess its the public television thing but its in my blood, Im satisfied. And hey, Im ok with bringing Star Trek into a new era. When the new Star Trek Enterprise came on I was skeptical about it just because the time span in between I guess but I fell totally in love with it and who couldn't fall in love with Jolene Blalock (Sub-Command)--she's hot!! Who knew brown could be so fashionable, my god. Oh! And you know Im running out to Burger King to get my Star Trek glass, yup yup, anybody with me? I usually do my homework to see who is producing a movie and learn about the cast but I just think thats gonna spoil it for me because Im setting my expectations a certain way.

I might go see it, but I'm sure not excited about it. In fact, I'm not happy with the "reinvisioning" of the show

I am not sure as of yet if I will see the new version of Star Trek. I guess you could say that I fan of the old version. I may decied to see it latter on. I have seen where it has been promoted in certian magiziens and websites like wired and wired.com. and a few others. I have seen the trailers as well, but I am still unsure.

I have not missed a Star Trek movie since the first one hit the movie screens. This will not have familiar trekkie characters that I am used to but I can hardly wait to see it. I think it is a good way to come around from the back end and help us to see the characters that we have loved for many years by showing us more character history and depth. I do not know who is playing in the new movie - I will have to go to imdb.com to check it out. I can hardly wait to see the special affects.

I have mixed feelings about this movie. I'm hoping they do a good job with it. But I'm not sure I'll accept others actors playing parts that we've all come to know and love so well. It'll have to be done really well or I won't like it. I'm hoping for the best.
