There to eat to Mc'Donalds is a luxury? Or just a ordinary meal in a work day?

I don t start this discussion because of obesity or because of junk food, in my opinion all are free to choice what they like to eat, and how want to live.
I was yesterday in city, and i enter to MC'Donalds to take a burger, because i was really hungry. And a coffee. Nothing more. But i stay there, and think in what mean Mc'Donalds for peoples from my country. Is a luxury place, where parents come with kids in Sunday to enjoy, like in a very good restaurant. BECAUSE IS VERY EXPENSIVE FOR A NORMAL PEOPLES WHO WANT JUST TO EAT A SANDWICH. OR MAYBE A SALAD.
I AM FOR HEALTHY FOOD, SO I ENTER IN TO A MC DONALds, ONE TIME IN A YEAR.
I was shocked to see peoples with kids and buy a happy meal for 5,6 dollars, and if parents eat too, they must pay maybe 20 dollars if want to eat a sweet to a drink maybe a ice cream and cofee. So is very expensive in my opinion, for a place whee peoples go to eat a sandwich.
I am agree, is a nice place, clean, kids feel atracted, like this place but...in my opinion don t deserve to pay 20 dollars for 3 or 4 persons who want just eat something.
I will choice a restaurant, where i can choice healthy meal, and is a elect place,
So, is a discussions about prices, i am sure that in US or UK prices are more low,in comparation with salary...here is very expensive, and i am not sure that deserve....for me don t deserve, with this money i can buy 4 big chiken. and cook to home all what i want.
I want to know others opinion....you will choice a restaurant, or MC Donald's.?

Well, I guess it all depends on the economic status of the family. If they can afford to dine at McDonalds everyday then so be it but what concerns me is the health issue of eating always fastfoods for most of your life. But for just ordinary people, eating there everyday or even twice a week is already a luxury.

Hi, Ice,
To me, McDonald's is the only place open on my way to work, so I pick up coffee when I didn't have time to make it myself before leaving the house. The expense isn't as great in the US, but the food isn't healthy or very good, either.
