I was just watching the boxing fight yesterday between Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton. I admire these people because they have put in lots of hardwork to get to where they are now. And it got me to thinking: Will I let my child become a boxer? i am a believer in the principle that parents should let their children choose their paths. As parents, we can only guide them and give them 100% of our suppport. And I know that sports teaches a person so many things like the value of hardwork and patience. But if and when my son approaches me and tells me he wants to train as a boxer, I still don't know. Of course, as a mother, I just don't want my son to get physically hurt. Perhaps, I will just cross the bridge when I get there. How about you? What are your thoughts if and when your child tells you he wants to become a boxer?

I have to girls so I guess it is less likely they will want to become boxers but it is always possible, and if that is what they want then yes I would support them I cant say I would be happy, I think i would be too worried, but I will always support them no matter what they choose to do with their life.
