Do you tell white lies? Do you accept white lies?

Hello mylottors, Is there any one can raise their hand and say they never tell white lies or they never lied? I have to admit i tell white lies sometimes, i've tried to hide the true from my family just because i don't want them to worry about me. I know no one likes lies, but in certain things, you just feel that you have to lie to that people to keep everything in their places. Do you have such experience? If so, please share with us.

sometimes i have to lie to others . so others will not angry when i tell the true. and sometimes i tell lie not to make others feel sad about my situation. sometimes i tell lie my heart was so in pain.

Hi Fwangaa, Thanks for responding my discussion. When you said others will not be angry when you tell the true. Is it like a girl ask you " Am i pretty", and you said" Yes!" but actually she is not? Lol

I think we all tell white lies. Anyone who says they have not- is lying. "No, sweety your pet turtle went to turtle heaven" " Go to sleep before Santa gets here" "The tooth fairy left you a dollar!" We tell these lies as a form of protection and sometimes adventure for our children mostly, but we have shared a few with friends, family and co-workers. It's OK to tell a white lie as long as it does not harm someone else.

It is very difficult to see person who never tells a lie in his whole life.I do lie and as such I only lie when I really need to.In situation we have to tell lie to escape from some serious problems.There is nothing wrong in telling lies,if it not hurt any one.

Hi Sreejithsreenivas, Thanks for responding my discussion. I think you are exactly right. Those who lie all the time should be shame for themselves. So in your opinions, white lie is okay and acceptable, correct?

I have lied more than once, in my life, even though I don't like to lie. I usually tell white lies, mainly for this reason, because I don't like telling lies. It's just the way it is with me, it's just a preference.

Of course! Everybody lies. People that say they don't lie, just lied. That's pretty ironic, isn't it. I don't make a point to lie. Sometimes it is just something that needs to be done in order to protect those around you. More than lying, I sometimes misrepresent the truth a tad bad "accidentally" leaving out some "minor" details. Oh well.

Hi Masonj, Thanks for responding my discussion. You are right. Everybody lies, just the matter of how many and how often and how do they lie. I think myself sometimes rather hear white lies than know the truth. I will ask my boyfriend, "do you think i am fat?" He will always say" no, you are just perfect!" I like to hear that even though i am not sure if it's the turth.
