I always picked up my children when they would fall or stumble. They are my life's most precious treasures! They are grown now but I'm still here for them whenever they need me.

Unfortunately, that is right. We in America are too much in a hurry for our children to grow up so that we can get on with the next phase of our lives. We generally have an attitude like an assembly line, birth them and raise them--move them out!!!! My nation is cheating themselves of the most precious gifts of life while we chase the almighty dollar.

When they are younger like maybe 3-4 I will run over to pick them up and tell them to watch where they are going but as when they grow older I will expect them to get up themselves.

I would pick em up once or twice. But later I would just let them get up on their own. The more attention that we give towards them, the ore they would want. This might sound rude, but it's a great way to make them independent. I don't mean to say that I won't be there to help them or guide them, but sometimes, you have give them the feeling that hey wont have anybody to help them in their life and they have to stand up on their own feet and power. bourne
