I Just watched the 1959 film version, of the diary of ann frank, it was very interesting and sad I usually avoid sad films, but I made an acceptation for this film becuse I was curious about this movie and new it was based on true events, and I had never seen this film nor ever read the book and to think that a young girl could write so well in the mist of such awful events, so my curiosity get the best of me and had to watch it in fact whenever I watch anything about the war in that time I cant help but be fascinated and saddened by it, but aside from that the film was entertaining. Did you see the diary of ann frank on TV or did you read the book and what where your thoughts on this true story?

I read it many many years ago and I honestly don't remember a lot about it.

I actually only read the novel. I had to read for a class, which is why I read it. I thought it very interesting, and sad. I enjoyed reading the "Diary of Anne Frank." I'm sure that I'll reread it again, as it's such a good and amazing story that I think it's worth reading again.

I read the book long before seeing the movie and, while the movie is very well done, it doesn't do justice to the book. If you can get your hands on a copy you really should read it. Now that you've reminded me of it, I'm going to have to see if our Library has it or if I can find it online. It's truly worth a read.

I actually read this story for school first. It was a very intriguing story and kept me enthralled. I later watched the movie and it was good as well, but I am one of those who always like the book better.
