modify, change post, change response

I understand that we can't modify a disussion or a response once we have posted it. But just a few minutes before I posted a response and found that it had a couple of mistakes in that. I clicked back and found that my draft post was still there in the system. I corrected that and posted that again. Now I find my two responses together. Is is legitimate or infringement of the rules of myLot? Will my Mylot friends guide me on this issue?

The Guidelines tell us not to duplicate discussions but it does sometimes happen that a post seems not to have gone through yet ends up being posted twice. The worst that can happen is that one of the posts (hopefully the one with mistakes) gets deleted, which is no big deal, really unless it has already collected some responses, in which case a few people may lose a cent or two. Usually it is quite obvious that a glitch caused the error. The Guidelines are really concerned to prevent intentional multiple postings.

I just checked your discussions and I can't see any duplicated post, so I imagine that it has already been deleted.

Correction: I see that you were referring to a response rather than a discussion. I think I wouldn't worry about it. It does happen from time to time and it's quite obvious that it was a mistake. We only earn from the first response we make to a discussion, anyway.
