I feel one should choose a major in which one is interested in or the subject which one loves to read, in that way only one can excel. It could be any stream arts, science or humanities.

It happens that sometimes you don't find it. It happens. I'm not one of them, but I know one person, like you, who didn't have a major. I don't know if he does now, as I haven't seen him in a while. But the only advice that I can really give you is that your major should be something that you enjoy doing, that you're passionate about. Something that you've enjoyed doing for a while. I'm a drama student, in University. The reason why I'm a drama student is because I've enjoyed theater, acting, reading plays, watching plays, since the age of 7. I've always loved it. That's why I'm here. I'm sorry if I can't give you more advice. But it's the only advice that I can really give you.
