my sister, my best friend

All growing up my sister has been my best friend. We done everything together. Sometimes I wonder why we were sisters, when I look at other sisters they fight and argue all the time. I am very happy that we spent our lives as friends and not enemies. She showed me things about life that nobody else could and most of the time we just figured things out together. We are not so close now (in location) but we still call each other to chat about what happened all day. I love knowing that she will always be there for me. I picked the best best friend!!! no matter what she will always be family which makes it easier to keep her as my friend. Is anyone else really close with their brother or sister? share some stories :)

I don't have a sister also. I did have a brother and he passed 12 years ago. He was only 17 years old. At that time I was 19. When he was alive, we was very close. I would like to think that we had a unique brother/sister relationship because we shared our secrets with each other no matter how bad or extreme they were. He was the best friend I ever had and misses him very, very much.

It's unfortunate that I have no sisters, I only have brothers. Though we're all pretty tight, we're not like you guys where you share secrets and stuff. We do have moments when we'd just talk and share jokes and funny thoughts.
Even though I don't have a sister, I don't miss or long to have one. I'm somehow contented that I'm the only daughter of the family.

I do have a sister three years younger than mine (I have two sister). She is my best friend. We grow up together and do things together. Since we're not really close with neighbours' kids, we only play with each other. We keep each other secrets and give full support when one of us need help. She's already married now and soon to has her first baby. Still, that doesn't mean we no longer best friends.

my sister moved away to a different province. I am soon having my first baby and I am planning on getting married shortly after. I am glad to hear that it doesn't change the relationship. I am hoping that the new baby might make her think about moving back home. It is just me and my sister in the family.(no other brothers or sisters) and I really miss her. Like I had said before, we done everything together. This is a big, important time in my life and I wish she was here to share it with me. I am so happy to hear that you and your sister are really close. I think more siblings need to be this way and realize that family can be closer then anyone else :)
