In a rut!

I'm currently in a rut! I'm trying to find ways to get out of it! So far no luck! Everyday is the same old thing! I need excitment in my life! Life has been going good lately but I'm not excited about it! I have some vacations days coming up at the end of May. If I'm not out of my rut by then I hope to be at the end of my vacation days! I hate being in ruts!

I try to live a happy life, no matter what I am going through, I go through a lot of ups and downs, but I make it through just the same, I always thank The Lord for everything he has done for me, and everyday that he has brought me through, because there was a time in my life, I was sick with cancer, and I prayed that The Lord would let me live through it, and he did, and he took away my cancer, and I am greatful everyday.

I wrote this discussion 4 years ago. It is funny because I am again feeling in a rut! I try to think of things to be grateful for but sometimes it doesn't help! I'll sabotoge myself! Instead of feeling grateful I will feel I want to give up and crawl into a hole! I don't have a postive attitude most of the time and trying to change at my age it is not easy! Life sucks and wish it would not get harder but easier as we age!

It's always the same when you get to our age dear. You're either stuck in a rut, or you can't stop thinking about it (rutting, I mean)

That is the way I've been thinking lately,how much of a rut I'm in! I need to get my mind on other things!

Be careful what you ask for!!!!!! Getting stuck in a rut is the pits!!! I have a friend who was saying the same thing last year. She had a stroke that paralyzed her left side, Now she has more challenges than she knows what to do with. She just commented yesterday that she wished she could get stuck back in her rut!!!

Take those vacation days and use them! Grab a friend and go see the biggest ball of twine or something kooky. Even if the sights are lame, you'll be amused, and it's a change of scenery!
