There has been alot of comotion about Miss Califorina. I think the question to Miss California at the Miss American Pagent should never have been asked. To ask a question about same gender marriage at pagent should not be allow. There should be stipulations on the questions that should be asked to a contestant. A question that could put a contestant on the spot like that and could seriously offend the public shouldn't be asked at a beauty contest. I know the judges want to get a feel for there next Miss America but some questions and opinions that could be very distuctive to the contestant should not be brought up period. I understand that Miss California has her own opinion but if she had said no comment that would not be answering the question which would have docked points and would have not helped her in any to win. It is her opinion and she is entitled to it I mean we all have opinions on things. Noone ever has the exact opinion of someone else. What I am getting at is opinions are like belly buttons we all have one. In that respect we are entiled to a opinion no matter how rediculis it maybe.

I do not think they should have asked her that question either. They have done nothing but ridicule her for the opinion she gave. she has a right to say and feel what she wants to.

I agree that it was unfair to ask her that question, especially since one of the judges has a very strong opinion himself. However, I feel that since the question was put to her she did as best a job as she could answering even though it did offend some people. She did not merely say "I think it's wrong", but she provided support for why she believes it's wrong such as her upbringing and strong morals. They should have seen past the answer to how she answered it.
