Many schools invite parents to attend parent staff meeting to discuss the progress of their children in the exams. It is customary for the parents to attend such meetings. I have attended some of the meetings. Did you attend such meetings?

I always attend the parent/teacher interviews. Only one of my girls is still in high school but I still go every year. I admit that there are other meetings that I skip - mainly because they don't relate directly to my child or her progress - but I try to go to whatever my schedule will allow. I think it's important, as parents, to monitor our kids' progress and, also, to give the teachers the opportunity to inform us about things we might not know. At those interviews, I tend to ask more about how my kids "fit in" with their peers, do they have any difficulties with other students, are they attentive in the classroom, etc. I know they get excellent grades so the work is not an issue.
