When I was younger, I had a list of names I wanted my future children to have like Lauren, Haley, Cassandra, Justin, Reginald, Daphne and a lot others that escapes my mind right now. I'm going to give birth this June and the name I've chosen for our very first baby girl was Anna Zafina. If it were a boy, my husband and I settle for Johann Siegfried. A far cry from the list I've made when I was much younger.

I want to incorporate my name with whatever name he/she is getting. Or probably use June. I've always liked that name. And oh yeah, this is the first time I've thought about it. I think...

When I was younger I thought of giving my future kids really long names, like three first names... you bet I have three first names too but they have like 4-3-3 characters each. When my youngest sister was born, dad gave her three first names that were really long that when she went to first grade, she only wrote the first of her three first names because if she wrote all three plus our family name, they wouldn't fit on her paper. And if they do, they would be too long that she would miss the teacher's first question in a test that the teacher usually gave after the lecture. That was a lesson for me not to burden my future kids with long names. I'm pregnant now, my first, but I don't know yet if it's going to be a boy or a girl. Should the baby be a boy, I shall call him Gabriel Angelo. Should a girl come out, she'll be named Gabrielle Angela.... still long but I'll make sure he/she would be able to write her name quick before he/she goes to grade school. :-)
