How do you increase yourself in value?

Value in general is determined by the person evaluating. You need to be able to properly assess what you are worth to other individuals and then what they are worth to you. What you want, What you need, What you can offer, What you will gain, What you can't offer, What you won't offer.. these are all things that need to be taken into consideration. The only true way to increase one's value (in my opinion) is to always be the one evaluating. Whether it is a Job, relationship, or anything else for that matter.. knowing what holds the MOST VALUE for you personally gives you the upperhand, because it allows you to only put yourself in situations that will be beneficial to you and your situation. With that being said if you have determined that the "Job" you applied for holds the most value for you, then put your cards on the table. ASK, what is this going to take (not in so many words..lol), what do I need to do? A person willing to whatever it takes is the most valuable asset you can have. YOU CAN ONLY KNOW IF YOUR WILLING TO WHATEVER IT TAKES once you determine what its worth to you. This doesn't guarantee that you'll be hired, but you will at the very least walk away with the knowledge of what you need to do and that is priceless.

Basically,we should increase our value,we must keep learning,not only learn how to acquire knowledge but learn to be a man with good characters.Being a person who is helpful and like to have leadership quality is better.Just do your things and not talk to much,the other people will see it,you will get your value paid!It's like,we improve our IQ,while improve EQ.I think that it's also a matter of luck to have a value in the market.

interesting topic... Perhaps the most common approach to increasing one's value is to acquire the skills that companies currently need or will eventually need. Also there are skills in certain disciplines of business such as HRM and R&D. Any ideas?
