If you ask most people they would climb on a high pedestal and look at you down the bridge of their nose like a well cultured British gentleman (without the accent) and say I am unique, but are you ? and who decides? and against what framework? is tehre really a diciding line or these are all different sides of the personality prism. in addition is it bad to be weird or strange ,after all Michael Jackson is weird and yet he is perhaps the greatest entertainer ever ?So would you be all that bad to weird or strange when it could be the stuff that genius is made off and who knwos maybe being weird or strange is the precursor to greatness. So now that i have hopefully shed some light on this issue which term describes you ..and remember you could be the next Michael Jackson in you own weird way lolol. Please feel free to dispel any of my notions and replace it with your own if you feel I have not dealt with the issue accurately

This is a hard one...I have been called weird by some; my husband says eccentric, I say unique, surely there couldn't possibly be anyone else in this world like me! Who knows? Am I the only one that is comfortable chatting to herself like a crazy woman? Am I the only one that is up at four am every single day of the week? Am I the only one who can spend an hour pouring her heart out to her cat? I wonder if anyone else is sitting at her computer right now with a bird sitting on her shoulder. So what do you say unique, strange or weird?

This is a very unique, strange and wierd question, but I'll respond anyhow!! I don't believe you have to be strange or wierd to achieve greatness...there are many great people who have achieved that without the wierdness. Now, being unique, that's a bit different. (Ha!) Because of uniqueness, greatness is achieved because you're doing or inventing something no one else has. Are you unique, strange or wierd? All 3? I think I am sometimes, but donn't think I've achieved special greatness....yet...

Good answer to a weird ,strange and unique question and thank you for responding. You may actually be right about about uniqueness that drives great expectation but sometimes uniquesness is viewed as weird and strange depending on the mindset .Look at Galileo during his time trying to sell the idea of planet revolving around sun and round planets ,this was considered a unique phenomenon and he was probably viewed as weird .Thanks for your perspective

It all depends on whom you ask. If they like me, I am unique. If they have just heard of me, I am strange. and if they hate me, I am weird. i am just a retired musician who loathes the idea of mixing love with marriage , who never wants kids , who is obsessed with hockey , Britain , and the perfect pizza.is that unique, strange, or weird? You be the judge.

Hi ronnyb, You have started quite a discussion here, especially when you ask, 'who decides'? Who decides what is weird anyway, isn't it the society in which we live. The same of course can be said for unique or strange. What would we say today of someone who arrived at a party dressed in the style of the 1920's, yet it may have been the height of fashion back then. I feel that I am unique, yet I'm sure others would call me strange and maybe a few would even say weird but the next Michael Jackson is something I'm not lol. Blessings.

Every person is a unique individual. Whether that person is weird or strange depends on the perspective of those who come in contact with them. I don't think it's necessary to be weird or strange to achieve greatness, but many great people are considered weird or strange because they think outside the box, do things differently than other people, and/or take a different route to arrive at their chosen destination. Their attitudes may make them seem aloof and unreachable, but in reality some of them just can't relate to the "average" way of thinking. That probably makes them weird or strange to some people.

It's not really bad to be weird or unique. But usually we will be a love-or-hate characters who might have people who love us so much and also people who hates us so much. I think one can be weird if he can somehow produce something good out of it, if not, people will try to impose normal behaviour towards people they deem weird. So if you can be successful being weird then people will call u eccentric but if ou cant people will call you crazy. Most successful people are weird people. ^^

I would like to be a weird person. Weird people are different from the vast majority and I would choose to be different because I strongly feel that the vast majority are lacking in wisdom. I prefer to be a wise person in the minority rather than a nitwit in the majority.

I believe this, every individual is unique. So we may excel in every skills and talents God gave to us. There's no need to become weird and strange to look at. Just be yourself!
