When you eat red meat do you choose the healthiest cut?

I normally go for whatever is the cheapest, which is normally the fattiest, unhealthiest red meat. Do you choose your meat based on the health implications, or just go for the cheap stuff?

I started avoiding red meat right now because of Health news alert that it causes cancer and other chronic diseases. Just choose the healthiest cut like lean meat to avoid complicated illnesses in the future, and try to limit your red meat intake into just once a week.

When we eat red meat, we always look for the leanest cuts with little fat. But most importantly, we insist on red meat that are grass fed and free-roaming livestock...not livestock that are in a barn all day, eating whatever is put in front of them. free roaming livestock are almost always in very good health because they are living the way nature intended. Barn kept animals are almost always much sicker, if not disease ridden animals and they are often loaded up with steroids and antibiotics to keep them "healthy". Of course when you eat that kind of red meat, you are also eating the steroids and antibiotics. Free-range beef that is steroid/antibiotics free is always more expensive, but in my opinion, it's a price worth paying.
