From the start Kris gained my RESPECT especially when he broadcast without any inhibitions that he was already HAPPILY MARRIED. He stayed true to himself, to his wife and to all of his fans (he doesn't want to make them believe that he is still available). Glad to know that AMERICANS doesn't see Kris being married as a liabilty but rather noticed his FIDELITY and SINCERE LOVE that shows KRIS to be a REAL MAN and a REAL AMERICAN IDOL worth emulating. When it comes to talent... name all the instrument that any contestant can possibly use and HE ABSOLUTELY USED it as well (especially at the last performance night). His voice is really so soothing, though raw but compelling (as Kara mentioned) HE SINGS FROM HIS HEART (like the one I originally rooting for... guess who? No need to mention it... he is not the topic LOL) And I definitely see Kris as an artist of the present era that will be able to produce hits that is not just CHART TOPPING but really WORTH HEARING, SINGING WITH, AND FEELING EVERY WORDS IN IT! I do not have anything against Adam... I honestly thought he had won the competition but still inside me... my heart was yelling and I am even praying that KRIS would win it because HE IS NOT JUST A GREAT SINGER he is also a GOOD PERSON INSIDE AND OUT that any kids can look up to him and say... YEAH... HE IS MY IDOL... my REAL AMERICAN IDOL! Though Kris may not be able to read this... but I am sure many people will be able to say it to him... THAT HE IS INDEED AND ISPIRATION TO MANY PEOPLE not just Americans but even to all genders and all races, LIKE A FILIPINO here watching from a hundred of miles away who truly believes HE IS AN IDOL IN ANY ASPECT and even a WORLD IDOL in his own simple way but leaves a BIG IMPRINT TO THE HEARTS OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD! Including mine. :)

Yeah I am truly happy that Kris did win this year. I think he will go very far even if he had not won he still would of done really well. As well as a lot that didn't win will still do very well.

I'll admit that I was not a Kris fan all along. I thought he was adorable but he didn't really impress me as an artist. I was behind Danny Gokey...until Movie Songs week when Kris sang Falling Slowly, an indie song. Being an indie kid, he stole my heart that night and I really started listening to his performances. He is a true artist. Taking into consideration the songs he chose, the performances he gave, his arrangements, he really took more risks than anyone else this season. Everyone thought that Adam was original and fresh or whatever but if you go back through and really listen to his songs, without the influence of the judges or the audience or the media, they all sounded alike, except for Tracks of My Tears and Mad World, and none of them sounded too far off of the original. But Kris' version of She Works Hard for the Money was completely unique and sounded nothing like the original, yet still incredible. As for his announcement that he was married and his wife was in the audience, Simon told him he should have kept that quiet a few more weeks, implying that he was only going to get by on the cute votes. I saw him on Leno a week after the results and he said his wife told him the same thing. "We need to get votes somehow," she told him. I thought that was pretty cute.

You have mentioned all of the aspects that made and proved that Kris is indeed deserving of the title Amnerican Idol. What more could I ask for and Couldn't add more to what you have just said. And for that... you deserve the title of the BEST RESPONSE as well. KUDOS for you my dear friend and fellow Kris fan

Amen to that... i am so happy that Kris Allen won... because he has been a favorite of mine since top 10... and when he sand "Ain't no Sunshine" during the finale... i was so moved by his performance... and told myself that nothing can ever top that... He is such a nice guy... and even when his name was announced... he still looked as modest as when his name was called as one of the top 12... Adam is also worthy of the title... and for sure he will have a successful career ahead of him...

He even said... "Serious? (still shocked)... Adam deserves it!" and said to the fans that WE ARE THE REASON WHY THEY (all of the TOP 13) ARE THERE! How sweet and really down to earth guy. I WISH TO MEET HIM and express my ADMIRATION to someone LIKE HIM who still believes he is just an ordinary guy who dreams and was able to reach it :)

Did kris really win?? lol =D That's good.. hehe ^_^ From what u have mentioned in this post, i know what's the reason to why he won, instead of adam.. haha =D Though adam is good, but his image and genre of song has always remain the same, and there's not much of changes to that.. If he manages to win the competition, and always be recording the same old type of punk songs, wont it be too boring after some time?? haha =D BUt it's different for kris, being able to play with so many different instruments, it can only mean that he will always have surprises from his fans.. lol =D

Like what you've said... having ONE kind of song or type of singing will make an artist less appealing in due time. And reinventing oneself and having the knowledge to play various instruments is a necessity now to make ones audience yearn for them more and never get bored. And that is where KRIS EXCEL

I agree to me he sounds like a very respectful, loyal, and nice young man. I wish him all the best and I hope he is able to stay level headed, and true to himself through the next couple of years which I am sure will be tough yet hopefully rewarding. Congratulations and best of luck Kris!

I hope he'll not change but rather stay as nice as he is today. Good luck but most of all God bless him and all of us here.
