...between arthrosis and arthritis? I was diagnosed degenerative arthrosis a few days ago after I went to see a rheumatologist for the psain I had in joints, knees and back. I´d like to know more. The doctor gave me masive dosis os glucosamine& condroitin and calcium with vitamin D. Besides that, I have parafin baths on my hands and kinesiology for my back. I wonder if I will be able to do my vegetable garden next year. The name sounds eerie Share please if you have the same illness

Both are similar. Where arthritis affects mostly the joints and connecting muscles and ligaments, arthrosis affects the cartiledge. From what I've read, your doctor is giving you the correct treatment for it. The important thing too, is to stay active, so you absolutely should plan on that vegetable garden next year. You might want to discuss with your doctor what forms of excercise would be most beneficial. An aunt of mine who also has arthrosis and arthritis, at the recommendation of her doctor, has enrolled in a tai chi class. She just started though, so I can't tell you if it's helping.
