Do you kids have a Field Day at school?

The elementary school I work at had their's today. It was awesome. It is an all day event. Relay races, face painting, snack shack, games, 5th grade tug of war, and 5th graders getting soaked by all the teachers!
Now my daughter goes to the next elementary school in the same town, and their's was scheduled on a half day, how crazy is that. Plus they only get one hour outside.
It's interesting . . . different administrators and different PE teachers - same school district.

I'm not aware if they still have field day here in our school district. But we had it every year when I was a little girl. Believe it or not I hated it. Because they had a relay where you would take a ballon and run all the way to the end of the field put the ballon in a chair and sit on it to pop it and then run all the way back. I was terrified of popping ballons and I dreaded field day every year. lol.
