It's raining, my critters might melt.

So it's raining, not that hard, would take a long time to get soaked and there's a long covered porch out there, but every critter in town is in my house.
My dog, 2 of the neighbors dogs and every cat that ever stopped by to say hello.
And they are all waiting for me to either entertain them or make the rain stop.
It would be easier to make the rain stop.

Last night, all the ferals cats in the neighborhood were on the porch, and the two outdoor cats (the tame ones) came inside. None of them liked the rain at all. I find it funny that the cats that won't let me touch them, meow at me during the bad weather. It sounds like they are asking me to do something about the bad weather. Loved your final line; that is so true.
