At BQ's someone always makes this and to my digust find that it is just flour tasting dry hard noodles. I pledged to make the best Home Baked Blah Blah. Starters my kids and fiancee are not a big fan of Mac N Cheese. So I put them to the taste test last night. Elbow noodles, cut up ham, diced fresh tomatoes and i made a special cheese sauce. After noodles were Al Dante, mixed all this together in a baking dish. Baked it til bubbly and brown at the edges. added Mozz. Cheese on top to melt. And voila! Your wondering what the Cheese sauce was, huh? Well let me tell you, my kids and fiancee are STILL not a fan of Mac N Cheese. So what did I accomplished? Having it all to myself to eat for a couple of days. :P

Lol, this is very funny. I know it is hard when the family isn't really a fan of what you are cooking. What to do? At least you have got to enjoy it and I must say, it sounds delicious with the cheese sauce. The mozzarella on top is perfect. I would of also sprinkles Parmesan on top. Love it! My mom makes the best mac n cheese. Her secret is in her cheese sauce. She adds all sorts of stuff and the result is real zang. My mac and cheese is never as good as hers but I keep trying. Cheers and enjoy! PS: Do the kids like ketchup? I love ketchup on my mac n cheese. Maybe they would too.

Mac and cheese is not one of my favorite dishes but my granddaughter has a good recipe that she makes all the time for her boyfriend. her brother also like it a lot. Her recipe for the sauce calls for some mustard, milk, butter, cheddar cheese cooked and added to cooked elbow macaroni then put in a casserole dish and then more cheddar cheese sprinkled on top. It is never hard. She is very particular about the cheddar cheese she uses too because of working in a deli and getting to know thee best cheese. She only uses Bores Head brand cheese. She doesn't add ham to it because we don't eat pork.
