Swagbucks Account Deactivated?

So someone here on MyLot referred me to Swagbucks! I joined and immediately thought it was pretty cool! Now whenever I need to search for anything online, I go to Swagbucks! And whenever I need to buy anything online, I buy through Swagbucks so that I can earn points for my purchase! Well, just this week I finally decided to cash in my points for a gift card! Then today I went to log into my account and it said: Your account has been deactivated! There are several reason why you may be prevented from accessing your account: 1. You are operating more than one user account. 2. You are operating more than one account per household 3. You are using your account in violation of our terms of use. I only have 1 user account, I am the only person in my household with a Swagbucks account, and I read through the terms of use several times and can't find anything in there that could explain why my account was deactivated! I sent them an e-mail about it, but haven't heard back yet. Has this happened to anyone else? Does anyone know why my account could have been deactivated? Has anyone actually gotten a prize from Swagbucks, or do they just deactivate your account as soon as you request your first prize?

My account was deactivated today for no reason. I have won przes from them - maybe there is a limit to what you can with - but I don't remember reading that anywhere. I use a laptop at home and work so I know the IP changes on it - wonder if that has anything to do with it. marsha

If you contact them they should explain why they deactivated your account and then reactivate it. Apparently mine was deactivated for "not searching naturally".

That's very bizarre. My sister's account was deactivated once, but that's because she was abroad during the holidays (in Sweden), and accidentally logged on there - and that's against their TOS, and so they froze her account (and she had to re-activate it!). Did you use it when you were out of the U.S.? That's the only idea I have. It's never happened to me, thankfully.

Ahhh, that would make sense. But nope, I've never been out of the US. (Well, not in the last decade anyway!) That's good that she was able to reactivate it! Hopefully once I figure out what's going on with my account I will be able to reactivate mine!

I have gotten prizes from them. I got a $5 subway card in the mail and have gotten 3 amazon GC's via email/my account. I didn't know that you can't have two accounts per household, my sister and I both have them and we've never had a problem. I can't think of anything else that might have deactivated your account. But the site isn't a scam, or aleast it wasn't before. Just two days ago I redeemed for another amazon GC. I haven't gotten it yet, but it usually takes about a week, so I'm not concerned yet. They are usually pretty good about replying to emails, so I'm sure they'll get back to you soon and get stuff straightened out.

The site is obviously hurting. They are booting people off and keeping their hard-earned swagbucks because they don't want to pay them. people should be forewarned...ultimately you're going to lose, and you are wasting your time. Bail on these losers and get a life!
