Planes and there black box....

You know that little indestructible black box that is used on planes, why can't they make the whole plane out of the same substance? I tried posting this and had mylot probs so i might be reposting sorry if i did!

You know, I wondered about that too. The only thing I could come up with is the weight. Maybe the indestructible stuff is too dense to fly in large quantities.
The other thing I thought of is that it might be really difficult to make.
