Would you re-live a day? The 'Groundhog Day' Senario

The movie Groundhog Day has to be one of my favourite films with Bill Murray. I just love the way that by re-living this one seeming uninteresting day he goes from despair to happiness. In my own life there have probably been loads of times when I thought to myself I could sure use a 'groundhog day' today. My question to others is if you could re-live one day of your life which day would it be and why?

Yes, I wish that I could relive many days and change their outcome. Hindsight is 20/20 though so no need to dwell on them must move on and make things right from now on.

Yes, good point. Live now and not for the past I suppose. But sometimes it is interesting to dwell on your past to find out where you are going in life. Sometimes they can help you focus and move on in a better direction.

So true, you learn from the past, so you don't make the same mistakes in the future.

I think if I could relive one day of my life knowing what I know now. I would change the day I left my husband. Sure he was a jerk, but I let him be. I did not stick up for myself. If I would have stayed, I would have had more time with my children. Because I left, I had to work all the time, and missed a lot. But then again, if my ex husband would know me as strong as I am know. He would have probably left me. So, I guess that would not have helped either. The idea is good. So, then comes the other day I would change. The day I meet my ex. I would stay away from him and live my life without him. I would have been better off.

Well yes, I agree. We learn from our mistakes. (most of us,hahaha!) Even if we were to change one day of our lives, we will still make mistakes. They will be different, but there will always be good times and bad times. So, yes we learn from our mistakes and move on too the future. Take care.

I agree, the idea of re-living a day is good. The paradox is that by changing that one thing there is no guarantee that the things that originally went wrong in our lives would work out the way we initially wanted them to. I suppose we just have to live with our mistakes and learn from them. Afterall, it is often our mistakes that make us stronger people. Thanks for sharing.

This may strange but it would be the day that I decided I wanted to end it with my first girlfriend, not the actual day I dumped her. I would hope by having to live that day over and over again I would have made a much wiser decision and then I wouldn't feel the regret I have about that decision.

I think a lot of people would like to go back to change the decisions they had made previously in life. I know I have some regrets about decisions I have made in my past. The thing is you are always wiser after making the decision, than you are before. So maybe we can at least learn from these regrets in hope we make much wiser decisions in the future. Thanks for your response
