What is everyones all time favourite Disney movie? and which ones are the best and which ones maybe not so good? And also, what is everyones oppinion on sequals? Can they be as good as/better than the first? Or can nothing beat the origional movie?

I love disney movies. Especially the oldest, it is difficult to choose one. Two that I liked to much was Cinderella and Beauty and the beast.

I really love the toy story movies, those are the greatest piece of films that I've ever seen..I'm going to see toy story 3 when it comes out, although I don't have high hopes for the film

Yeah i think if the sequal works, there isnt much more they can do on a third movie. It will probably be fairly average, not to good/not too bad. Hope you enjoy it anyway! Thans for the post =)

I LOVE DISNEY MOVIES!!!! I am such a fan, for my 20th birthday in fact I had a Disney party and went as Giselle from Enchanted! My favourite Disney Films are Lady and the Tramp, The Lion King and Fantasia. I prefer the classic Disney films to the newer ones but the new ones are still good. I'm not such a fan of the sequels although I enjoyed Toy Story 2 a lot. I kind of find that a story has been told in the first one and now it's just being dragged out. I like this discussion!

Wow cool, disney party? hehe thats a good idea, my 18th coming up soon i may have to steal that! Yep i definatly prefer the classics, i dislike the sequals where either a)the story is totally different and nothing at all like the first one or b)it is exactly the same, therefore making the entire movie pointless. I think to create a successful sequal it has to be balanced right in the middle, maybe following similar themes but with a few new things added in and one of 2 new characters (not a completly new cast though!)

I think my favorite Disney move is Beauty and the Beast. I am still waiting for it to come out on dvd. I collect disney movies. Even though each disney movie has a moral in it I think Beauty and the Beast is the best because it seems more real. Belle was a smart girl who wasn't like the rest of the girls and the most handsome guy liked her but he was just a pig head and he got mad that she didn't like him. At the end she ended up falling in love with a monster but once she got to know him he was the better guy for her.

Ahh cool, I only have a few of the old disney movies on DVD. Mainly any disney DVDs in my collection are newer ones that belong to my little sister. But i have loads of disney videos stashed away in my cupboard. Still kept my old video player despite technology evolving, so i can still watch them all. I also love Beauty and the Beast, i think it has a really good message in it like you are saying, and quite a true message. And generally a great movie!

my all time favourite Disney movie is, and will always be The Lion King. As far as sequals...I think that most of these movies are not as good as the first one. Many sequals should have never been made

My favourite Disney movie is Aladdin and I actually enjoyed the sequels to them. I was much younger when I saw them so maybe my opinions would change now but at the time it was good. And also the Lion King 1.5 that I saw was pretty good as well. But for the most part when they pump out sequels they tend to take away from the original story a bit.

Yeah i liked the Aladin sequals, it was more like adventures than a seperate movie to me, worked quite well. I also love that movie, hehe i just love them all really! Dont have a particular favourite, but I would go with The lion King if i had to choose. I havent seen Lion king 1.5 yet, I want to get it. Would it be worth the money to buy the DVD? I thought the lion king 2 was a good sequal aswell. Thanks for the post =)

I always like beauty and the beast. I always thought she was the prettiest of all the princesses. My daughter has the cinderella sequels and some of the others. She likes them, but I don't know. I kind of feel like they take away from the classics.

Yeah i feel the sequals sometimes ruin the origionals slighty in some ways. There are a few that arn't too bad. But i think that they will never be the same as the classics. To young children who dont fully appreciate the classics the sequals probably seem really good, just as im sure when they are older they will be having the very same conversations about new disney movies that are being made vs the sequals. I have a little sister and she also seems to like newer disney movies.
