Aside from the "big summer movies" like Harry Potter, Transformers, GI Joe... Are there any other movies you are eager to see? The only two that really stand out to me are Year One with Michael Cera and Jack Black (starting June 19) and Public Enemies (starting July 1) which most likely wouldn't ordinarily be a blockbuster but considering the producer (Michael Mann) and the stars (Johnny Depp and Christian Bale) it might be a runaway. What about you?

Avatar from the epic mega director James Cameron! It will be his first movie since the Titanic blockbuster, and there has been already so much buzz about the movie, but they keep the story very secretive so no one can tell what the story really is. Its main actor is Sam Worthington, you can see him in Terminator Salvation, and due this December...

Is that the Last Airbender, with Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire) and Jackson Rathbone (Twilight)?

No, it's different Avatar. The Last Airbender due next year. In Yahoo movies, it only tells us this: "A band of humans are pitted in a battle against a distant planet's indigenous population" I think it's a sci-fi war movie, just like Terminator and Aliens which he also directed before...

I like the ones you just mentioned. Year One's trailer is funny, and Public Enemies seems like a very interesting film. I'm also looking forward to Bruce Willis' Surrogates, I think it has an interesting concept. I'm also looking forward to see The Taking of Pelham 123 soon. I think the Travolta-Washington tandem is one to beat.

I've not heard anything about Surrogates but Bruce Willis rarely fails to deliver. And the Taking of Pelham 123 also looks like it will be a good one. It's probably just the lack of special effects (i.e. robots) that will keep that one from being a runaway hit.

I'll probably just wait for the Harry Potter one, I've been to a few movies lately but they are just lack luster performances. I'm looking for another "True Lies" or tear jerker like "Titanic", what happened to the good movies?
