Me and my Girlfriend go get a $5 footlong every now and then! Me, I've always loved subway but she never had much interest in subway until one day we went to subway together! We both got a chicken bacon ranch sub and now she's addicted! She loves subway now! Every time we eat out now it's at subway! And it's a lot more expensive than going to just Mcdonald's or carl's Jr. But we both love it! I find Footlongs to not be very filling... But I could probably eat two of them and still want more. I'm kind of a pig I guess.

For that price I'd do the "subway diet" that Jared did! *LOL*

I love Subway, too. The five-dollar footlong feeds me for two meals, at least. My daughter loves that song in commercials, and says it is now "stuck in her head." My fav is turkey, mayo, and tons of veggies! : )

sandwich - 6 inch subway sandwich with healthy fillings
I think the Subway sandwiches are more healthy than a lot of the fast food found at the major fast food joints found today. I pick the whole wheat bread and usually have it toasted. I like different ones but always like the Chicken Teryaki one. Picking the chicken and turkey meats and salad topping can be both healthy and filling. I find one footlong to be quite enough for a meal. Quite often I can take it home, pop some fries in the oven, and have it with half a sandwich.

We just had Subway last night for dinner. We don't eat out that often only because I love to cook and feel it is healthier. But every now and again we will decide to grab some fast food. We chose Subway last night only because I have been craving a sub for about a month now and I finally decided to go get one...My daughter and I ended up getting meatballs, my husband got a turkey bacon and my son got a pepperoni. We all got foot longs because they are cheaper and if we don't eat them all oh well we will just have leftovers for the next day..well my son who just turned ten had his whole foot long gone before the other three of us even got our first half gone. He loves subs...so you and him sound to be in the same boat.

I normally can eat a foot long by myself, but since I started taking this new medication I can't eat a lot at one time. I got full halfway through he first 6 inches of my sub the other day. I normally get the Subway Melt or the Spicy Italian, but I really like the Sweet Onion one too.

This is a really good discussion because everyone has to eat in order to survive, and I am sure there are some people who like Subway and eat it all the time, and then I am sure there are people who hate Subway and will never eat there and instead they will eat at other places like McDonald's,and Burger King, and I am a big fan of Subway and me and my fiance eat there as much as possible, and we especially like the five dollar foot longs, and yes it is a little more expensive than McDonald's but it is a whole lot healthier which is better in the long run,and I do not know why they are not filling for you, because whenever I eat a foot long it always makes me feel stuffed and then I am stuffed for hours,my brother will go to McDonald's and get like three McChickens, and several McDoubles, but one sub from Subway always seems to be enough to fill him up,and I think more people should spend the extra and go to Subway, have a great day, good luck with your life, and all of your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

"5 dollar --- 5 dollar foot loooooong" |_________| LOL. That song and dance is so catchy. Admit it, you dance to it too =D. I love Subway, and usually can't fit anything else but my foot long and a bag of chip and some soda. Very filling, but definitely not as healthy as everyone wants to think it is. There's nothing like some good "old-fashioned" home cooking.

Yeah, it's $7 here (Australian dollars) for the cheapest footlong. Frankly, I'm a big guy, but I'd find one of those to be quite filling. And it's much more healthy than cheaper options like McDonald's because you need to have fries and coke to fill you up.
