Well, I will say that that is a fake e-mail, cos I had received a similar e-mail, but I do not have an account with Liberty Reserve at all... I just hope that the rest doesn't get caught with these fraud e-mails, as there are too many of these types of fraud e-mails. I had got a few from "Paypal" and other payment processors too... I do ignore them, but I do hope the rest do ignore them as well... Thanks for your message to all...

Well, that's because I had received too many of these fraud e-mails. It's very hard for me to trust e-mails, unless I had grounds to believe that they are genuine. Anyway, it's better to be careful. It's good that you didn't receive any fraud e-mails from "Paypal".

I've also received this email just today and I thought it was a good thing and I was so happy. But suddenly, I've thought that why is Liberty Account going to give me something for nothing that I've done. So I just search for it and found the same email received by others. And thanks for confirming this email here in mylot.com

I don't have a LR account, but I also receive so many fake mails! If you have an account, you must be very careful about it as by working out what that is said in the mail, your money will be taken away by the hackers! Such mails are often for PayPal account holders and PayPal has warned all against such fake mails. Thanks for this nice topic and have a good day!

Phishers are trying various ways to get account holders' personal details. Before this I had emails supposedly from LibertyReserve, saying that my account was blocked. Could be true but for one wrong detail, the email address I used for the account is not the same. Recently there was another tactic. Someone sent me an email stating that USD150 had been credited into my LR account. The problem was I never joined the program. The way I see it is gullible people will check their LR account. On seeing that the money was not credited they will contact the person listed in the email. They will get a reply stating that there was a problem with their LR account and he needs further details. Alternatively it is a way of confirming the existence of an account at the email address. LR is quite strict with authentication procedure. The fact that you were not required to authenticate ownership gave the game away. In any case confirmation should have been made on account U3983977 because the money was supposed to being in the process of being transferred from that account. all the best, rosdimy
