Piercings, Christians, the bible!

I do not go for piercings and I do not allow my children to get one but I have no objections to other people who want to mutilate their faces for whatever reason. Cheers!!

Well Im not a bible scholar but i think that people who are agaisnt tatoos and piercings uses the logic of your defiling your body and your not suppose to do that cause your body is the Lords Temple. Personally, I thing its ok to have one of two piecrings or tatoos. I have may christian friends who have both. I have my ears pierced. I wanted a tatoo but I have sensative skin and Im afraid I will have a bad reaction. I have guy friends who have their ears pierced. Its like the norm now for guys to get their ears pierced so I think its ok for you if you want to get them pierced. As with everything, you should do things in moderation. One or two is ok but not a whole body full of piercings and tatoos. Not that there is anything wrong with the people who are like that though.

I believe those rules were for ancient people which were being prepared as a small place where the rescuer/savior of mankind could be born into.. and the piercings and tatoos of the day were in honor of strange gods.. (fallen angels posing as gods). so unless a piercing or tattoo is in honor of a strange god I don't think it matters but would be up to you.. My son and daughter both have nice tattoos but I've never felt the inclination for any..

i dont think it really matters to be honest. God looks on your heart and if you look this way to fit in with others, thats cool as long as you let your light shine for Him! certainly some of the christian bands that are out there have piercings and tats, right?
