Is MyLot removing more discussions and posts than normal?

I'm not sure but I think the MyLot admins have become stricter as to removing discussions and posts that break the guidelines. Even discussions which were given the benefit of the doubt in the past are nowadays removed easier. Or is it just my imagination?

There are a lot of people on the mylot network. Various terms of service or terms of use I am sure, escape the notice or memory of many members as they are writing discussions. Mylot is not just about posting a lot of dicussions and responses and making a little money for doing this, it is also a place where people blow of steam and where they can discuss things that they feel they cannot dicsuss in realtime with their realtime friends for whatever reaon. In the course of interraction it is difficult to remember that there are certain things that you cannot add or do with your discussions. It is not like everyone reads the terms of service every day berfore they start posting to keep them fresh in their minds, but having some of your discussions deleted from the system will very quickly remind you to go and reread them won't' it. Oh and on notifying someone that their discussion is about to be deleted would be a counter productive extra step that would require each deletion to take longer and even if they did warn you first, we are not able to go back and edit the origional discussion, nor can they, all they can do is delete it or let it stay. As for them removing more discussions these days than before, that would not surprise me any since the community is always growing.

Correct, not much people don't take the time to at least read the guidelines ( which covers the most important part of the ToS as to posting behaviour) in that case it's their fault but sometimes I indeed see whole discussions removed for a member who breaks a rule whilst only that post could be removed. With notifying members I don't mean notifying people for individual cases but for rule breaking trends that appear on the website and what they are going to do about it.

I'm still new to this site so im' trying to learn all the in's and outs..tnx

Either way those discussions broke any of the guidelines or don't comply with the ToS. Discussions can theoretically be removed for any reason though as per the ToS. If your comment or the whole discussion has been removed you will not be credited for the post should you have already been credited for it, it will be taken away from you.
