I just sent money for him to be trained. What would you do?

It's not exactly something I would be really happy about, but I don't think it would be a matter of letting him or not once he decided he wanted to. As for supporting him by sending money, I don't know. Since money is short and I wouldn't be able to even if I wanted to I don't really know what I would do.Which might be just as well, because it's certainly not a sport I enjoy. But then again, it wouldn't be for me to enjoy, but him.

yeah, parents sometimes have this thing about hoping their dreams will be realized trough their children. I was lucky that my parents were pretty open about what my choices were, and I am as well regarding my children. Too true UFC would be a bit hard for me to accept, but as I said, if one of my children decided on that, and really wanted it, he would go for it either I approved/supported or not. Which in a way is what I thought them to do: Make their own choices and stick by them.

If he had been a wrestler or trained in other martial arts for a while I would let him. If he was like 18 and just thought he would like to try it I wouldn't want him to. It isn't something you can just decide you want to try because you think you are a tough guy.

If I ever do become a father and have a son who wanted to be serious into UFC, I guess I don't have any problems with that. I just don't know about his mom though. I mean, yeah I'd understand if my son would want to be a fighter and all that but, you can't deny the worry that parents would have every time their son would be fighting it out on the octagon, especially for most mothers out there.

i don't have children yet but no, never.UFC is not my kind of sport and its very dangerous not to mention physically draining. i don't have anything against UFC players, it's just that it's a very extreme sport and as a mom to my child (in the future), i can't stand seeing my son bleeding or hurt.that's all. :)

I support him but I also said his education is worth more. That is fast cash for him because he is already in shape. Im just not sure if Im ready!

Yes once i have a child i plan on taking them at a very young age to mma classes. At the very least it teaches them self defense skills that they one day will probably use. It is also exercise and teaches self discipline. And if one day they want to try a amateur fight that's up to them. But overall i think its a good thing for a person any age to try.
