How to be a good single mom

It took me two years to finally realize that I will be raising my daughter alone. I have had this illusion that maybe her father would come around and finally come to terms with fatherhood and that he will be there for us no matter what. I thought that we will be his priority and that one day he will change and see that we are the best things that happened to him. But it has not happened. And probably won't. To my fellow mothers here, please give me pieces of advice on how to raise a daughter well. I am still reeling from pain, from the realization that my family will never be whole.

Always make sure she knows how much you love her....give her that sense of security that she needs. Make sure you also do things for yourself...because when you are happy she will be happy. I had the same situation a long time ago. The one thing I wanted was that my kids had a home just like everyone else did.....a normal routine etc. Good luck sweetie!
