Do you know animals?

I mean do you know things about animals? I love animals, but I didn't really realise until recently how little I know about them! For instance I saw what turned out to be a heron on sunday, but before someone told me, I had no idea what it was?
Do you know lots of things about animals?
Or are you an animal dunce like me?

I know, and like, animals. I like all of them. I am not well-versed in the identification of some birds, but mammals I know, and can identify, usually.

I know some things about animals, although I'm no expert on birds. My son on the other hand loves them. He hosted an online bird question and answer forum when he was 13, and did an online ornithology course thru Tufts University at the same age. When I have bird questions, I go to him. As far as the furry kind, I love reading and learning about them. Are men classified in that category?

I like animals too but I can't identify a lot of them like you. It's not like I'm a zoologist though.
