If you were put in a situation where you would have to teach any subject in high school, what would it be? English, Science, Math, Art, Physical Education? Why? Is it because you're good at it, or because it's the fun subject for you? Do you think you'll do well with teaching it?

I would teach Home Economics or Consumer and Family science as it may be called now. My degree is in Home Economics and though I never certified to teach I think I would have more knowledge of that subject than any of the others. I know many schools do not even offer this subject any more.

I would teach English Literature. I have a BA and MA in the subject, so I have the technical ability to do it, but more importantly, I love the subject. To teach anything effectively, you have to believe in what you are teaching to inspire your students. I am a great fan of Shakespeare's plays, and I have converted several friends who hated the subject at school, simply by discussing the plays and watching some of the films with them. My greatest success was when my husband asked to come with me to a live performance of 'Hamlet.' He really enjoyed it, and I thought he'd probably sleep through it! Interesting topic, thank you.

i'd go for math. i love math. it was my favorite subject in highschool. i know i'm pretty good at it and i really enjoy the subject. back in highschool, i had been sub-teaching in math classes for lower classmen whenever our math teacher is not around attending conferences and such. also back in my senior year in highschool, i was a working student teaching math after school hours. i know that for some students, math would be a great challenge but i would hope that they will get my affection to the subject.
