Do you know who is the Director of Communications for the Second Lady is? Do you know who is the Deputy Press Secretary to the Vice President is? Now the real reason I ask these question is actually not to see if you know who actually fill these positions but why do we need to employee these people. Here are the positions under the Vice President, Chief of Staff to the Vice President Ron Klain Counsel to the Vice President Cynthia Hogan Counselor to the Vice President Mike Donilon Assistant to the Vice President for Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Liaison Evan Ryan Assistant to the Vice President and Director of Communications Jay Carney Deputy Chief of Staff to the Vice President Alan Hoffman Deputy National Security Adviser to the Vice President Brian McKeon Residence Manager and Social Secretary for the Vice President and Second Lady Carlos Elizondo Chief of Staff to the Second Lady Catherine Russell Director of Administration for the Office of the Vice President Moe Vela Domestic Policy Adviser to the Vice President Terrell McSweeny Chief Economist and Economic Policy Adviser to the Vice President Jared Bernstein Press Secretary to the Vice President Elizabeth Alexander Deputy Press Secretary to the Vice President Annie Tomasini Director of Legislative Affairs Sudafi Henry Director of Communications for the Second Lady Courtney O’Donnell And just so you understand these people only work for the Vice President.

Personally I can see why some of these are needed, I think I would need more information as to what the person does and why it's needed to make a decision on whether they are actually needed or not. Now what should concern us is retirement funds for the different people in the government such as senators and congressmen, Check out this article http://www.azstarnet.com/sn/byauthor/69713

If I counted right there are, not including the VP, there are 16 positions that will receive retirement funds at our expense.

I was counting the 400+ people who get nice sized pensions the likes of which most americans will never have any oppurtunity to get, for serving terms as short as 2 years, I'm suggesting cutting how much they get.

I dunno...should one or two people be responsible for all of that? When I worked for a large organization you could probably say, from the outside looking in, that my position or some of the positions I oversaw weren't necessary either but they were.

For a position that in the grand scheme of thing has no real authority he does have a lot of people advising him. The question I have is what exactly are they advising him on, eating Mexican or Italian today?

We should make him pay for them! This is really just a small list of worthless postings in our massive bureaucracy, but, maybe these are otherwise unemployable people being helped by a sort-of, Executive Get To Work Program. All these positions should have to go to help pay for Health Care Reform!

And scare to say this is just a small list of bureaucrats that could be done away with.
