Well, as you know, there are lots of different types of tasks available to be done in myLot tasks. There are the research tasks, writing tasks, Internet tasks, etc... Of all the tasks available, I find that the 500 words article writing is the most challenging, as you will need to write 500 or more words on the keywords given. It's also the task with the best reward amount of $4 per approved article. So, how many of the 500 words article writing tasks have you done so far since the inception of myLot tasks? So far, I had only attempted to do 4 of these tasks. Out of the 4, I had submitted 3 of them, and had 1 forfeited as it's too difficult and I couldn't finish it within the 8 hours time limit. Currently, I had 2 of these tasks approved, and 1 of them pending for approval. For me, I use them as a challenge to myself to work on my writing, as they often involve keywords I'm not familiar with. What about you? How many have you done, and also the reason why you do these 500 words article?

Wow well done! I have not done any of those as it does imply a lot os work and I prefer the discussions but I admire those of you who are completing them and taking advantage of the chance to earn such really good amounts. Good to see that you are doing so well with them and your time is being rewarded so well

Thanks for your response. I do agree that it sometimes do take up a lot of time plus effort. I do like replying to discussions from time to time, but doing the articles are different as there are different topics which you may not research at all. I found that I learn a lot more when doing the writing task... In addition, it's really satisfying when you finished up with it, especially with the 500 words article. Some of the topics are also quite interesting when you do further research on them.

I have just read the response below too and I can see that I must take a look more often. Maybe one day I will see something that I am already able to talk about without having to do too much homework on the subject. Maybe.... After reading of so many users being enthusiastic about them and having such good results I am getting more and more curious

Well, it's good that you are getting interested too. Maybe you can start off by doing the 4 paragraphs writing task. You could choose one of your interest, and one that you are familiar with for a start when you are free. At least, you will not have to spend too much time doing research...

On this website, none, and other websites. A few here and there. Writing 500 word assignments are easy when you have something to talk about.

Well, I agree with you. It's easier to write if you know about the subject. However, once you are familiar with the style of writing, it's also not too difficult to write if you do research on the topics you ar not familiar with. Thanks for your response.

I've had several of the 500+ word articles approved. I like doing them if they are related to a subject matter where I already have at least some general knowledge. I find it much easier to have a base from which to start. If you do, 500 words isn't as hard to accomplish. In all honesty, I sometimes find the 500+ word tasks easier than the four paragraphs. I have a tendency to want to include more information and it's easier to get a good flow going on the longer articles. With the four paragraphs, I want to be informative and factual without sounding stilted. Concise is good but it's nice to be somewhat interesting too LOL

Oh I totally agree with you... I've accepted even some four paragraph tasks and found them very difficult. I "thought" I knew the topic at hand when I accepted but, as I did research, I found it was much more technical than I originally imagined it would be. But, like you've said too, there is a real sense of accomplishment involved when a task is hard to write and then it gets approved. I find I'm so appreciative when that happens because then the struggle was worthwhile

Wow, you must be a good writer. I do agree that it's really a lot easier to do if it's something that you have some general knowledge about. I had tried some topics which I had of no idea of, and some of these really proved to be very hard to do, as I had to read up a lot to get an idea of what to write about. It's good that you find the 500 words articles easier to do. I had just done 2 of the 500+ words articles today, and I find myself very tired, after going through all the research and writing. With the 500+ words article, I do find it harder instead, as there are too many information until I sometimes had to think hard on how to write the article.

Yes, it's the same case as me. I will usually do a quick check on the keywords before accepting the writing tasks. However, I had still have cases whereby I had accepted some 4 paragraphs writing tasks and later found that the research materials on the web are too limited or too technical for me to understand. Well, I will try my best to complete it to the best of my comprehension. These type of tasks usually take up the most time and effort. And yes, the sense of accomplishment is the most for the above cases...

You're right, the 500 words ones do take the most effort. I actually make less money per hour on them than I do with the 4 paragraph ones, because they take far more research. Despite this, I've done two so far, 1 accepted, and one pending. I like doing them because they're a lot more open than the 4 paragraph ones. I think they help me to improve my writing style more as well, but most importantly in my mind, $4 an article is excellent pay, and I couldn't be happier about it.

Yes, I agree. I usually spend more time on researching on the 500 words article task too as well, so that I have enough information to form a 500 words and above article. I also agree that they are usually more open than the 4 paragraphs ones, and thus in a way "easier" and also harder to research on... For me, it's easier because I can explore at more angles of the topic. However, it's also harder as I need to do more research, and sometimes I end up not knowing which way to approach for the writing part... Thank you for your response.

I haven't tried it even once, I got pissed off because I have to research and spend more time with it than writing my stuff. I really want to try it once but I don't have time. They are featuring a lot of keywords which were not familiar. I got tired of waiting for tasks that I can do without researching, hehehe.

Well, I do understand your feelings. Writing tasks do take up more time than other tasks. For me, I do them when I know I got time to spare for research and writing. Actually, to be frank, most of those I had accepted were "alien" to me as well. I had only know of how to write the task after doing the research. Even for those which I'm more familiar with, I do also do some research first as well. Well, take your time to find one which you can do. You will eventually find one...
