Is it possible for a conservative woman to be a strong, independent thinker?

Why is that when a liberal woman, like Geraldine Ferrarro or Hillary Clinton, runs for office liberals consider that to be progressive, and the candidate is a strong, independent thinker, yet when a conservative woman like Sarah Palin runs for office, liberals deride her nomination as pandering and overlook her achievements and talk about her appearance? Do liberals believe that it is impossible for a woman to be a strong, independent thinker and hold ideas contrary to liberalism?

There could absolutely be strong, independent women among conservatives, liberals, and everywhere in between. As we learn about the ways in which Ms. Palin achieved many of her goals, however, she appears to be nothing but a buffoon. Look at the senate and the house, at the journalists and the pundits, and at the activists. You'll see many strong, independent women of all persuasions and beliefs.

I can't speak for liberals regarding what they think. I'm sure you could get as many different answers on that subject as there are liberals. But as far as how they support their own yet attack those from the opposing side, that's just the nature of the game in politics. Liberals and conservatives both do it. I don't know who does it more. I would guess the liberals probably do but I would be saying that partly out of bias since I am a conservative. I will tell you one thing. Most of the time, when you have a debate between a liberal and a conservative the liberal uses feelings and emotions to present their argument. The conservative uses facts and logic. The liberal's factless argument can't stand up to logic and truth. That's why a liberal so often resorts to attacks by calling the opponenet a racist or some other name to make them appear unsympathetic. It's the truth. You can see for yourself. The next time you catch such a debate on TV, watch it. You'll see what I'm talking about. The way the liberals oftentimes engage in a debate can be quite laughable.
